Based out of London, Ontario, MELBOURNE is an alternative rock band formed in 2018 and comprises of vocalist/guitarist Grant McLean, lead guitarist Clara Gomes and drummer Zach Kostiuk. With the combination of indie rock and pop-like moments in the likes of PVRIS, Slaves and Hands Like Houses, MELBOURNE is planning releases through 2020, and “Wishing You Well” is just a taste of what’s to come.
Vocalist and guitaris Grant dished about the track: ” “Wishing You Well” is a track about accepting the things that cannot be changed, and finally coming to terms and overcoming heartbreak. Most people can relate to a “good thing gone bad” situation and how difficult these can be. This song is about empowerment over those circumstances. The chorus brings this into full effect and begs the listener to join in with the emotional message”.
